Usul Hadith Ke Baz Aham Mabahith

This is a lengthy review of al-Hakim al-Nishapuri’s famous work on Usul al-Hadith al-Madkhal. This was Allamah Abd al-Rashid Numani’s first work, at the time he was twenty-five years of age. Upon reading this work Mawlana Muhammad Manzur Numani in a letter to Mawlana Said Ahmad Akbarabadi mentioned the following, “This Mawlana Abd al-Rashid Numani has turned out to be a real hidden talent, may Allah grant blessings in his knowledge. After seeing such ilmi and tahqiqi work I have contentment that after the passing of the buzurgs the inheritors of their special qualities will remain.” This particular edition prepared by Dr. Abd al-Rahman Gazanfar also includes the Arabic text of al-Madkhal. Many other topics of Usul al-Hadith have also been discussed.
